The NextGen Parenting project tackles three connected problems: low participation in adult learning, rising on- and offline gender-based violence, and parents ‘limited digital and media literacy. Many parents struggle to join Lifelong Learning because of time, financial pressures and a lack of flexible options. At the same time, they face social and economic stress while their children spend more time online, exposed to risks like cyberbullying, grooming, hate speech and sexist content.

NextGen Parenting aims to empower both parents and adult educators by offering practical training, tailored support and an AI-powered portal with easy-to-use tools that build digital, media and gender-equality skills. By helping parents become confident digital role models, the project supports safer, more respectful behaviour online and offline. Ultimately, it strengthens families and contributes to more informed, inclusive and digitally responsible communities across Europe.
